This carob yogurt parfait is the kind of treat you can enjoy for breakfast, a midday snack, or a wholesome dessert. It is something that feels like a splurge, but is actually nourishing your body with every bite. Many store-bought yogurts are marketed as “healthy,” yet they’re often filled with processed sugar, artificial flavors, thickeners, and unnecessary additives that turn it into an unhealthy dessert. Yogurt itself is wonderful for digestion and protein but only when it’s kept clean and simple.
Ingredients
2 cups plain Greek yogurt or unsweetened coconut yogurt
-
1/4 cup maple syrup, raw honey, monk fruit, or allulose
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup granola or nuts and seeds if grain free
1 cup fresh berries or fruit of choice
-
½ cup carob chips
-
2 tbsp carob powder(optional)
CAROB YOGURT PARFAIT
Directions
CAROB YOGURT PARFAIT
In a mixing bowl add your yogurt, carob powder (if using), sweetener of choice, and vanilla.
Whisk until smooth and creamy.
To assemble your parfaits, divide your carob yogurt mixture equally among four cups or small bowls.
Top it with your granola, berries, and some yummy carob chips. That’s it, enjoy!
Recipe Note
- You don’t have to add sweetener to yogurt if you like it plain. It’s completely up to you.
- Yogurt parfaits are so versatile and are great with many different toppings. Try making our carob almond butter recipe and add a little as a drizzle on top.
